Formerly and currently enrolled students who have paid their University charges are entitled to receive, upon written request, official transcripts of their academic records. A transcript includes a student’s courses, grades, GPA, and degree.
Students in debt to the University are not entitled to receive official transcripts until the indebtedness has been paid or suitable arrangements for payment have been made, unless the student has a pending bankruptcy petition seeking a discharge of all such indebtedness, or such indebtedness has been discharged.
Students who graduate or withdraw from the University and have outstanding loans from the University of Illinois will not be issued official transcripts or diplomas until they have completed exit interviews with the University Student Financial Services and Cashier Operations.

Common Application Transfer College Report
Students applying to transfer out of the University to an institution that uses the Common Application, should verify first if the destination institution requires the College Report for transfers in addition to an official transcript. If required, follow the Transfer College Report instructions to print and submit the report to the Records Service Center for completion. The report requires coodination with the Dean of Students Office, so allow 2 - 3 weeks for processing.
Transcripts and Transfer Credit
Current University of Illinois students should contact their college office for information on transfer credit restrictions prior to enrolling in courses at other institutions.
Students may use Transferology to view what coursework will transfer to the University. The transfer course equivalencies and the reports generated from the system do not constitute a contract between the student and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Students still need to contact their college offices to verify how the transfer coursework will be accepted and used towards graduation requirements in that college.
After permission has been granted to take off-campus coursework and the student has completed the course, an official transcript must be submitted directly from the institution where the coursework was taken. Official transcripts can be sent through U.S. mail or electronically as PDFs to:
