Spring 2018 Refund Schedule

Part of Term (POT)

  • 1 = full 16-week semester (1/13/2018-5/2/2018)
  • A = first 8 weeks (1/16/2018-3/9/2018)
  • B = second 8 weeks (3/12/2018-5/2/2018)

In all cases, a student who wishes to drop all classes in a semester to discontinue enrollment must withdraw from the University by completing the withdrawal process for that semester by the stated deadline.

Refund Deadlines

100% Cancellation of all Courses for the Semester

You may be released from your obligation to pay all tuition and fees by canceling your registration by 11:59 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2018, the last day before instruction begins for the term. That is your LAST opportunity to completely cancel your semester’s registration via Student Self-Service. 100% refund of tuition and fees will not be granted if any campus service has been used during the semester requested for cancellation.

Partial Tuition Refund

You may be released from your obligation to pay, or refunded, part of the tuition and fees by reducing your program, dropping one or more course(s) or changing credit hours enough to change assessment range by the following deadlines:

 1 Monday, January 29, 2018 by 11:59 p.m.
 A Monday, January 22, 2018 by 11:59 p.m.
 B Friday, March 16, 2018 by 11:59 p.m.
 Nonstandard – 8 week 6th calendar day of the course by 11:59 p.m.
 Nonstandard – 28 days 4th calendar day of the course by 11:59 p.m.
 Withdrawing from the University by 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 30, 2018.

Dropping or Withdrawing Nonstandard Courses

Standard University parts of term, such as POT 1 (full semester), POT A (first 8 weeks), POT B (second 8 weeks), etc. have established refund and withdrawal schedules.  Course sections that are not offered in these Parts of Term are referred to as nonstandard.  Nonstandard sections will not have a Part of Term listed in the Class Schedule.  The guide for dropping or withdrawing from nonstandard length course sections serves as a resource of information for refund of tuition for such courses.

Refunds of Special Fees

Course fees are NOT refunded for courses dropped after the partial tuition refund deadlines provided above.

Law Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP) Fee: Law students may request a refund of their LRAP fee. Note that students who request refund of the fee will not be eligible to participate in the LRAP program.
